Rick B. from Richardson, Texas having been transplanted from Long Beach , CA. His ride is “Hood Rat,” a 1961 Chevy Biscayne. It is a lowrider inspired rat rod with a 235, three on the tree, 14X7 McLean wire wheels, flat black paint, red interior, and cruising on air ride suspension. Rick has always enjoyed going against the grain, and even sold his ’67 Impala 2 door hardtop so he could spend more time and money on his MoreDoor. He drives it at every opportunity to different cruise-ins so people can enjoy Hood Rat as much as Rick does. His favorite thing is to sit back and watch how other people take in all the custom bolt-on accessors he has added over the years.
Hood Rat has very special significance for Rick: he bought it off a friend of his dad’s 5 years ago and he has been sober since. And as if that isn’t awesome enough, he gets to work on it with his very special assistants who happen to be his son Erik and his daughter Moni. Nothing, I mean nothing, is more incredible than having a classic car that the whole family can enjoy and work on it together. Rick, you are living the dream! |
