Little Herman is still on my list, but seems to get bumped down by other projects...often. It’s tucked under a tarp out behind my dilapidated shed right now. When I tinkered on it last, I tried sandblasting on it, but had lots of problems with the sandblaster. I’m just gong to use an orbital sander to knock the exterior paint off and to smooth it up for pint and primer. My brother has been trying his hand at painting in last year, and he said he’d be up for painting it. I’ll just do the prep as much as I want. It wouldn’t really take that much time. I just need to do it.
Something I’ve been pondering for LH is a heavier duty chassis or suspension. Those 8” tires seem so dinky, and I’d love use it to haul bikes and/or kayaks or our canoe. Another reason is I’d like to pull it behind my Bronco for off-road excursions. Nothing I do would prevent it from going back to 100% original. The thought of buying a roof top tent so it would actually be a “tent trailer” has entered my mind as well. Still pondering.
Getting it back out to keep it on the front of my mind has been...on my mind in recent month. No, really it has.
